Wet-packed canned food will store FAR longer than the expiration date states. Twice in our history, canned food that was over 100 years old was found, once in England and once in the Missouri River. While it wasn’t pretty anymore, it was found to be edible … and the Missouri River canned food was even declared to be still nutritious (by a testing lab).

The advantage of our dehydrated foods is that the cans don’t leak (as sometimes happens with wet-packed foods), there’s no danger of lead contamination (as will happen with soldered seams in wet-packed) and you can store more dehydrated food in less space.
